Not a day to remember for Khulna Titans. After a nail-biting victory in the first match, the boys of Khulna were expected to repeat the feat. But what started with losing the toss against Rangpur Riders continued in a downward spiral for the Titans as they were asked to bat first.

Stunning bowling performances from Shahid Afridi and Arafat Sunny sank the entire Khulna batting line-up as quick as within 10.4 overs. The scorecard read a sorry 44 all out with only one Titan, Shuvagata Hom, able to score more than 10 runs. Afridi picked up 4 wickets, and Sunny picked up 3 without even conceding a single run.

Chasing the lowest ever total in BPL history, Rangpur Riders made a bright start with Shahzad picking up early boundaries. He was ultimately dismissed by Junaid Khan, who got his 5th wicket of the tournament so far, but it was always too late for the Titans.

Mithun and Soumya played safe, and survived a few missed catches to take the Riders past 44 within 8 overs.

The goodish crowd may well be disappointed to such an early finish to the match, and as much as the Titans will want to forget the day, the Riders will cherish as they move to the top of the table with their second win.

The Titans face Chittagong Vikings on Saturday, 12 November for their third match in the tournament.
